Compost Summit

Come learn more about how to compost correctly! If you’re one of the many who still don’t have compost services, join us to learn how you can sign up for service and keep compost healthy and clean! Compost service is required by state law per Senate Bill 1383 (SB 1383) as of January 1, 2022. SB 1383 is aimed at reducing harmful greenhouse gases such as methane to combat climate change.
We’ll have compost experts from Recology, RethinkWaste, City of San Mateo, and San Mateo County’s Sustainability Department. Stick around for short presentations, take-home information, light bites, and more!
