Beginning February 3, 2022, virtual tours will be offered the first Thursday of each month at 5 p.m. In-person public tours are offered the first Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m.
RethinkWaste is excited to offer a virtual version of our popular Shoreway facility tour – no shoes, vests, or masks required! The one-hour tour of the Shoreway Environmental Center provides an inside look at how recyclables are sorted in our recently upgraded Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) and how compost and garbage are consolidated at the Transfer Station. RethinkWaste staff will also review how to sort your materials properly, discuss reuse and reduction tips, and answer questions about hard-to-recycle items.
Registration is free and open to the public. You must be over 18 years old to register for a public tour, but there is no age minimum on attending.
Virtual tours are limited to 25 registrants/device log-ins. There is no limit on the number of people viewing from one device, but please make one registration per device. Select a date and time for a public tour below.
RethinkWaste reserves the right to cancel any tour dependent on staff coverage.
