RethinkWaste is excited to launch a brand new, virtual version of our popular Shoreway facility tour – no shoes, vests, or masks required! These never-before offered virtual tours give residents the opportunity to continue learning about what happens to our compost, recycling, and garbage after it gets picked up from our homes and businesses.
This one-hour virtual tour will give you an inside look at how recyclables are sorted in our recently upgraded Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) and how compost and garbage are consolidated at the Transfer Station. RethinkWaste Staff will also provide an overview of how to sort your materials properly, a discussion about reuse and reduction tips, and answer questions about hard-to-recycle items. Registration is free and open to the public. You must be over 18 years old to register for a public tour, but there is no age minimum on attending.
Beginning March 1, 2021, virtual public tours will be offered the first Monday of the month at 1pm and 5pm. Tours are limited to 25 registrants/device log-ins. There is no limit on the number of people viewing from one device, but please make one registration per device. Select a date and time for a public tour below.
